The earliest type of oolong tea produced is the four tael packets, which are exported greatly in the early days. As time progresses, pouchong tea are mostly grown in Nangang and Pinglin. This is a lightly fermented, green tea taste-alike, but with a floral aroma type of tea. Pouchong tea can be easily loved by people trying oolong tea for the first time.
The method of making oolong tea originates from China, but it has developed into its own characteristics due to the geographic conditions in Taiwan. This Formosan characteristic is a combination of nature grace and the charm of humanities. The same tea plant growing in different environment, integrating masters’ experienced skills will produce different mountain-specific aroma. When the connoisseurs take a sip of their gaoshan tea, they also enjoy the indescribable production of tea. In the busy city life, one needs to taste a cup of tea in serenity to enjoy the beauty of the mountains.
